Just a note before this channel gets, very very unfairly and strangely to say the very least, cut...some time ago you mentioned that you like the band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Wel, a great but somewhat hard to get album of theirs is 'Polygondwanaland". I think it's from 2018. If you can get a copy from somebody / somewhere / somehow take a listen! It's very very good. Peculiar how all these old Studmuffin videos are pushed by UA-cam now they've de-monitised the channel?

I have made a solid effort to disassociate an artist's politics from their music over the years. That was put to the test with Morrison, Clapton, Young and Mitchell. In the end - they are humans who have have opinions that are shaped by their environment. I try to stay away from the news as I see how visceral it makes my wife to watch it. Why give negative energy another vehicle to drive around in? I do think it is funny that Young and Mitchell were of such high principles until Neil had a new album coming out - and he realized that their is a very limited market in vinyl and cd's when compared to streaming.

The cool thing to me about GFR was that every single album was its own "era". Every single one had its own aura about it---its own unique atmosphere. The "bag" the band was in at the time they produced the record. And they are the kind of band like Rush where you have to actually listen to their ALBUMS to get what they are all about---what makes them tick. The handful of songs on the radio do not do them justice at all. That's why their albums sold so well, I think

I know that the other guys in the band wanted more say and involvement with writing and singing of their own songs, but can you imagine bringing a song to John Fogerty and having to pitch it to this master song writer and musician? Now that’s an uphill climb! John was and always will be CCR! I wish that Tom, Stu and Doug would have left well enough alone!
